about

about.

Our AES students section was born from the need to stimulate research and development in incipient professionals, specifically in the advanced students of AURAL Escuela de Audio. We started working in 2018 with two research groups, one about the space in reproduced music and the other on binaurality, which showed their work at an internal event at the end of the year. In 2019, with more members, more experience and more strength, work began on Ambisonics, binaural experiments and the construction of microphones with special characteristics. This led to showing the work in progress at AES Expo 2019 nationwide, with great reception, and for the first time the final work was shown in the first edition of Audio Expertos, a conference organized by the section where its members present their work together with leading professionals in their disciplinary areas as guests which come to the school to share their knowledge in a free event for the entire community. We currently have three research departments, with one meeting per month per department, plus the regular monthly meeting of the board (directive commission). Find out what we do by browsing the site and reading our meetings reports on the AES portal!
